there is just something very wrong with my health recently. maybe it is the erratic changes of the weather, maybe its my unhealthy lifestyle, maybe its because of my sporadical bouts of depression. ( if you can even term it that way ) sometimes i wish it was neither, but sometimes i think that i want to be sick and escape from reality just for a day. just for a day....
yesterday i had a sudden fever at 38.2 degrees, but at that time something important, or rather someone important needed me ( and im glad to be there :) ) and it just made me forget about my fever and i just got well altho i din exactly rest at all. LOL.
so today in my entry i dont wanna dwell in my sickly self. lol. definitely wanna get out of the my condition!!!!
Do we choose the convenient path or go out of the way?
Can you imagine if Jesus decided to take the easier way out and chose to die in a painless manner on the cross( which he could cos he was and is equivalent to God). No pain, like being on aesthatics. it would be a nice choice, it would be the more "comfortable" choice, it would be the "convenient" choice. but He did not.
And that proved something that sometimes going out of the way may mean that we suffer more, may mean a tougher situation and out of our comfort zone; but shouldnt we stop looking so inward? if you only think of how you will suffer and not think of how going out of your way could actually have positive impacts on others you will forever be just a self centred person. stepping out of your comfort zone is a harder choice definitely, but if Jesus can take that pain for you, why cant you take that little inconvenience for the His people?
Does taking "the path less travelled" mean that you are losing out because you arent taking the "shortcut" that everyone else is taking? Look at the big picture and think of how taking the extra mile could sometimes make people smile ( okay i just rhymed my sentence! LOL) Think about how going the harder way could actually make God smile! like :) or :B or :D .
so what if at the end of the day you took the easier way out and you can give a pat yourself on the shoulders for reaching the end first. will you be proud of actions? will you be proud that you left your team members behind the race and just whisked off without them? If God questions you on judgement day, how would we respond. Are we going to continue finding excuses like " god, if you love me, you wont want me to suffer, since im so precious in your sight" . then how about: If you love God, do you want to be so comfortable in your stagnant christian life ( OVER comfortable maybe) and lose the love for the people of God? lets just take a moment and think about our christian life. Are we getting too comfortable?
